Blue Planet Farms has just purchased a beautiful 9-acre farm in Brentwood, CA with a very nice house and thus possibly, housing. We're looking for someone who's interested in an IMMEDIATE opportunity to help us farm our specialties: various varieties of the best-tasting tomatoes and green beans. We have 8,000 tomato transplants that will be ready in just a few days, so the challenge is substantial as the land has been fallow for 8 years (other than volunteer hay). Our farming philosophies are "beyond organic" in many ways, with a strong emphasis on soil management. This is a hand-on role that carries big responsibilities!
If we don't find the right person immediately, we'll probably forego this season. But if this is something that sounds fun and you're up to the challenge, let me know right away.
