North Coast Farmer Network Up and Running!

Howdy, all!

I'm very happy to announce that the California FarmLink North Coast Farmer Network has begun! An enthusiastic bunch of new farmers have joined the listserve, and longtime farmer Scott Mathieson (formerly of Laguna Farm in Sebastopol) will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and resources with the farmers in this network. Wayne James of Tierra Vegetables has also signed on to add his two cents to the listserve discussions. We are confident that this will serve as a great supplemental resource for beginning farmers. It is a place to pose questions, discuss problems and triumphs, and to explore the wonderful complexities that all beginning farmers face.

I would love to invite anyone to join this network! I simply ask that you be a member of California FarmLink and be currently farming your own operation (or managing someone else's). If you are not yet a member of California FarmLink, it's really easy to join! Just click on the link and fill out the questionnaire. We also ask for a $20 processing fee. If this poses a financial hardship, please let me know.

If you're interested in getting involved in this online community, please simply send me an email at molly@cafarmlink.org!
